May 2005 - Current Status
CAF-FCA initiated this project in order to research and communicate key findings regarding the barriers to accessing, retaining and completing apprenticeship programs as they affect all segments of the Canadian population.
The Project has reached completion. All report documents are available online at the CAF-FCA website www.caf-fca.org. They include:
February 2005 - Current Status
As part of the last phase of the project, consultations were undertaken with a broad cross-section of apprenticeship stakeholders. The consultations ran from April 2004 to January 2005 with the purpose of validating the full Accessibility report findings.
A Consultation report summarizing the feedback obtained from the consultations has been prepared. It reflects an overall agreement with the full report findings. There were however a few distinctions specifically relating to the issues of seniority clauses and ratios.
Next Steps
The Consultation report will be posted on the CAF-FCA web site in April 2005 as the final activities in this last phase of the project.
