CAF-FCA Mission
Influencing pan-Canadian apprenticeship strategies through research, discussion and collaboration.
To promote apprenticeship as an effective model for training and education, contributing to the development of a skilled, high quality, productive, inclusive and mobile labour force.
CAF-FCA Vision
CAF-FCA is a driving force for healthy, vibrant and progressive apprenticeship systems, on a pan-Canadian level.
Consensus-based decision making
The CAF-FCA constituent groups meet regularly to plan activities and develop initiatives to meet its objectives. The CAF-FCA uses a consensus-based decision-making model. This approach ensures the perspective of each constituent group is fully considered.
The CAF-FCA's future direction and activities will also be based on consensus. Each constituent group will take part in a consultative process that will shape future strategies for dealing with both on-going challenges and some of the emerging issues that continue to face the apprenticeship system.
The CAF-FCA is pleased to be part of a process that allows the various stakeholder groups to openly and fully discuss and explore the issues and challenges facing the apprenticeship community. The CAF-FCA also serves as a vehicle for this community to work together on issues of common concern.
