CAF-FCA Highlights Report

A thank you to our Board of Directors

The formation of the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum – Forum canadien sur l’apprentissage (CAF-FCA) in June of 2000 brought together key stakeholders from the Canadian apprenticeship community. The work of the organization is directed by a board made up of more than 40 individuals drawn from across Canada.

They represent every aspect of the apprenticeship and related communities, including business and labour organizations, the Interprovincial Alliance of Apprenticeship Board Chairs (IPA), educators, organizations representing women, Aboriginal persons, persons with disabilities and visible minorities, as well as representatives from the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA) and Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC).

The success of the CAF-FCA is owed in large measure to the continuing support of our board; to date, their contribution to the operations of our organization and our biennial conference has exceeded $2 million in cash and in-kind value.

Together, they share a commitment to and a passion for apprenticeship that will no doubt ensure the future success of our organization and we thank them for their service.
