The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum-Forum canadien sur l’apprentissage (CAF-FCA) has redesigned its web site.
A highlight of the new web site is the launch of our first webcast: Apprenticeship – Our Competitive Advantage. Hosted by Kevin Evans, CEO of B.C.’s Industry Training Authority, the webcast is a recording of an “armchair” discussion with apprentices, journeypersons, employers and educators that showcases their thoughts and experiences about apprenticeship training.
You can see the webcast at www.caf-fca.org/en/webcasts
The CAF-FCA is a not-for-profit, multi-partite organization that brings together the key constituents within the apprentice community to influence pan-Canadian apprenticeship strategies through research, discussion and collaboration. CAF-FCA’s work has brought to light a number of key issues that affect apprenticeship training in Canada such as perceived barriers to training; the business case for apprenticeship; and the importance of promoting apprenticeship training as a valued and respected choice for post-secondary education.
