Ron Svajlenko, is the Skilled Trades Area Chairperson for Local #222 at GM in Oshawa. He represents a wide array of trades including Electricians, Industrial Millwright/ Mechanics, Tool & Die Makers, Welders, Tinsmiths, Pipe Fitters etc. In his presentation, Mr. Svajlenko encourages listeners to consider innovative methods to retain apprentices during these challenging economic times, such as administering a program that would allow apprentices to work at a number of workplaces.
