Richard Ward Allen is the National Coordinator of the Canadian Steel Trade & Employment Congress’ Apprenticeship Program. In his current role, CSTEC continues to investigate ways to reduce the barriers to apprenticeship and to promote it as the cost-effective option that it is. In his presentation, Mr. Nakitsas explains that apprenticeship training is the preferred option for skilled trades, and emphasises the value of sharing experiences.
