Dan Mott is president of Mott Electric, a B.C. company that has been a force in the province’s electrical industry since 1930. He is also a third generation electrician. In his presentation, Mr. Mott discusses the challenges of retaining apprentices who may be disillusioned by the changing economic circumstances, and encourages employers to engage their apprentices and communicate with them honestly about the reality of the construction industry.
