ACCOMMODATION

It is important to book your accommodation early, as June is an extremely busy conference month in Victoria. A block of rooms has been reserved (at special conference rates until Wednesday, May 7, 2008) at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. For hotel information, please visit: http://www.fairmont.com/empress/vanity/CAFFAC. Please book your hotel accommodation directly with the Fairmont Empress Hotel by either linking to the hotel’s online reservation system (http://www.fairmont.com/empress/vanity/CAFFAC) or by calling the Central Reservations Systems toll free number (1-866-540-4429). Please mention “CAF-FCA” to ensure that you receive the special conference rate applicable to your choice of room. The check-in time is 4:00 p.m. While every effort will be made to accommodate guests arriving early, rooms may not be immediately available.

Rising regally on the banks of Victoria’s spectacular Inner Harbor, The Fairmont Empress showcases the spirit and energy of Vancouver Island in grand style. Lovingly restored to her turn-of-the-century beauty, The Fairmont Empress captures the grandeur and elegance of a bygone era, while her facilities and services meet the needs of today’s traveler.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

The Fairmont Empress Hotel is sold out for the night of Thursday, June 12th. If you try to book your hotel reservation online to extend through this date, you will get a message that rooms are not available.

If you are planning to extend your hotel stay to attend the National Aboriginal Trades Symposium, you will need to specify this information to the Fairmont Empress at the time of your booking. The hotel is otherwise sold out for the night of June 10th, outside of the block of rooms for the conference and the symposium.
