Employer Engagement Forums

By holding Employer Engagement Forums, CAF-FCA, in partnership with industry and government partners, is sharing with employers the good news about the value of apprenticeship training. 

We are sharing these key messages with employers from across the country:

It pays: 

• Return on Training Investment:  Employers will learn about the business case.  For every dollar they invest, employers, on average, receive a return of a $1.47. 
• Tax credits: Employers will learn about the tax credits available.  The federal government has the Apprenticeship Job Creation Tax Credit. This credit is worth a maximum of $2,000 per qualified apprentice.   Some individual provinces and territories also have additional financial incentives for employers.

It’s easier than you think:  

• Practical tools:  Employers will learn about the practical tools available such as the enhanced CAF-FCA Employer Toolkit with:   
• An on-line forum where employers can chat with one another and get answers to their questions.
• On-line catalogue:  A comprehensive list of all the available supports for employers who hire apprentices.  Searchable by province or territory.
• Apprenticeship Works: Build on it database of tools that help recruit and retain apprentices.  There are links to essential skills tools that can help employers identify skills gaps in the workplace.
